My Story

"I started my Thai Yoga journey back in 2009. Born in Sweden, I always felt a pull towards body work and spiritual practice. I began as a classically trained singer and contemporary dancer, which was the gateway to understanding how awareness of breath, muscles, and movement can be a spiritual act.

There was a deep unrooted feeling in me that came when I arrived in NYC, where I met several of my Thai and spiritual mentors. Because of my dance background, as a teacher, performer, and choreographer, I fell head over heels with the Thai Yoga practice. I love the way that the practice is healing both for the client and the practitioner, and together with the “dance” movement it is a perfect match.

I have been studying the art with several teachers, including my husband, teacher Al Turner II at TSTM-USA in New York City, Rose J. Griscom, director and lead instructor at Institute of Thai Massage-USA in New Jersey, and at the International Thai Massage School (ITM) in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

It was when I met and studied with Ajan Pichest Boonthumme, in Chiang Mai, Thailand, that a big piece in my work fell into place. I found a deeper connection with the healing and clarity that the work gives."

Currently, besides dance and choreography I also do administrative support for Brooklyn Strength Pilates Studio in Brooklyn, NY

Thai Yoga

Thai Yoga is a hands-on healing modality with passive stretches, were we work with energy lines through the body. It helps circulation,  injuries, aches and pains, illnesses, mind, stress, anxiety.  It alleviate toxins in the body.

Many of the stretches are very similar to yoga poses, with the difference being that the client is totally passive.

Thai Yoga sessions are placed on a special mat on the floor, and the client is fully clothed.
